چکیده

Introduction: The PatLoc concept has been introduced to perform imaging using non-bijective, curvilinear encoding fields [1]. Simulations have shown that a pair of mutually rotated multipolar encoding fields with cylindrical symmetry combined with a linear gradient for slice-selection have very good imaging properties especially in the outer half of the enclosed cylinder [2]. The gradients of these fields are mutually orthogonal as depicted in Fig. 1. Not least, this property is responsible for the good quality of the reconstructed images. We have addressed the problem of finding a simple method capable of generating all possible orthogonal fields for 2D encoding. Basic findings from complex analysis show that it is possible to describe the fields as real and imaginary parts of a complex-valued holomorphic function. Moreover, the set of holomorphic functions on a given simply connected region is equivalent to all mutually orthogonal source free fields on the same region.

SOME POINTS ON CASIMIR FORCES

Casimir forces of massive ferrnionic Dirac fields are calculated for parallel plates geometry in spatial space with dimension d and imposing bag model boundary conditions. It is shown that in the range of ma>>l where m is mass of fields quanta and a is the separation distance of the plates, it is equal to massive bosonic fields Casimir force for each degree of freedom. We argue this equalit...

Multi-dimensional encoded (MDE) magnetic resonance imaging

INTRODUCTION Magnetic resonance imaging has commonly used 3 orthogonal linear gradients to spatially encode objects in three dimensions. Recently, it has been demonstrated that images can be encoded and reconstructed efficiently by non-uniform spatial encoding magnetic fields (SEMs) using parallel acquisition with the localized gradient (PatLoc) system [1,2] or the O-space approach [3]. The fle...

Solving a class of nonlinear two-dimensional Volterra integral equations by using two-dimensional triangular orthogonal functions

In this paper, the two-dimensional triangular orthogonal functions (2D-TFs) are applied for solving a class of nonlinear two-dimensional Volterra integral equations. 2D-TFs method transforms these integral equations into a system of linear algebraic equations. The high accuracy of this method is verified through a numerical example and comparison of the results with the other numerical methods.

Three-dimensional Free Vibration Analysis of a Transversely Isotropic Thermoelastic Diffusive Cylindrical Panel

The present paper is aimed to study an exact analysis of the free vibrations of a simply supported, homogeneous, transversely isotropic, cylindrical panel based on three-dimensional generalized theories of thermoelastic diffusion. After applying the displacement potential functions in the basic governing equations of generalized thermoelastic diffusion, it is noticed that a purely transverse mo...
